Updated: Monday Morning Accident on 202 Caused by Speed and Road Conditions

Updated: Unfortunately, the 70-year-old woman in the causing vehicle has died from her injuries in this accident.

ORIGINAL STORY

At approximately 10:26 am on Monday, September 25th, a red 2003 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 70-year-old woman from Snoqualmie was traveling westbound on SR202 east of 372nd Ave SE

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the driver lost control of the vehicle due to wet pavement and hit a gold 2000 Lexus, driven by a 51-year-old man from Monroe, head-on traveling eastbound.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and both were transported to the hospital. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected, and the cause was stated as “speed too fast for conditions.”

The roadway was blocked for two hours and thirty minutes.
