On October 23, 2023, the Snoqualmie City Council approved Mike Chambless as the City Administrator. Before this decision, he acted as the temporary City Administrator for six months.
He began his employment with Snoqualmie in February 2022, working as the Parks and Public Works Director. Chambless brings 20 years of city management experience, with 11 of them in senior leadership roles.
Mayor Ross stated, “While serving as Interim City Administrator, I was impressed with Mr. Chambless’s strong leadership and track record of accomplishments while working with all City departments. I appointed him to be City Administrator to carry on our goal of increasing efficiencies and delivering high-quality levels of services for our residents and businesses.”
As City Administrator, Chambless has a vital role in shaping the future of Snoqualmie. He will be responsible for the oversight of all City operations, ensuring that the different departments function seamlessly. Chambless will also work closely with elected officials and Snoqualmie residents, ensuring that city policies align with the needs and aspirations of the community.
Chambless remarked, “As City Administrator, I will always put the residents’ needs first. The City of Snoqualmie team of professionals is changing to meet today’s needs. It is exciting to work to implement these changes, and my team and I look forward to delivering results for this community.”
