Locals pack North Bend Theatre for new Avengers movie that smashed box office records

Were you wondering what that line was for on Bendigo Blvd Friday night? Well, if you’re a movie lover, you probably already know.

Snoqualmie Valley movie fans attending the opening day of “Avengers: Endgame” at the North Bend Theatre played their part in smashing weekend box-office records.

According to Fox News, the movie “shattered the record for biggest opening weekend with an estimated $350 million in ticket sales domestically and $1.2 billion globally.”

For the movie’s premiere at the small, historic North Bend Theatre, the line was quite a long. Theater owner Beth Burrows said the movie was expected to earn an unprecedented $300 million in North America over the weekend, which means it shattered its own high expectations. It also exceeded worldwide estimates of $1 billion with box-office highs in Asia, Europe and South America.

Burrows was impressed with the local turnout saying nearly 250 people attended the opening of “Avengers: Endgame” at the North Bend Theatre on Friday night, April 26th, eager to see the movie that promises to tie together plots and story lines that have spanned ten years and 21 prior movies all based on Marvel’s comic book superheroes.
