Light Up North Bend Holiday Lighting Contest Returns for Fourth Year

The City of North Bend invites residents and businesses to make the City shine bright this holiday season as the fourth Annual Light up North Bend holiday lighting contest returns.

Every year, many local homes and businesses deck their places out for the community to admire! Light Up North Bend brings homes, businesses, and nonprofit organizations together for a bit of healthy competition.

If you plan to light up your home, property, or storefront this winter, please consider joining the annual lighting contest: LIGHT UP NORTH BEND – A HOLIDAY SPIRIT CONTEST.

There are four divisions: Single-family homes, Multi-family homes (apartment, condo, townhome), Business, and Neighborhood. There are three categories within the Single-family, Multi-family and Business Divisions:

  • VMA: Best Use of Music
  • Hollywood: Best Theme
  • Griswold: Best ‘Overuse’ of Lights (channel your inner Clark)

The Neighborhood Division winner will be chosen based on the largest number of homes decked out for the season.

The registration deadline is Thursday, December 7. Participating homes, businesses, and nonprofits must be decorated and ready by December 8th at 5 p.m. Judging will occur December 8th through 10th with the help of North Bend city council members and other local leaders.

Register using this fillable PDF Light up North Bend registration form. Participants can email the form to bkeveren@northbendwa.gov or deliver it to the City Hall Front Counter during the business hours listed on the form.

Did we mention prizes? The city won’t forget that part. The Neighborhood division winner will get bragging rights, and the winners of each category in the Single-Family, Multi-Family and Business Divisions will receive a $50 gift card to the North Bend business of their choosing. The holiday fun won’t end once the winners are announced.

After the judging, the city will share a map for community distribution so that everyone can do a Light Up North Bend Holiday Spirit Tour to take in the twinkling, decorated homes that participated.
