Light Lowland Snow Possible This Week in Upper Snoqualmie Valley, Little Accumulation Expected

Our first chance of lowland snow for the year is here, although the chances of any accumulations are low. From Monday through Thursday, snowfall amounts, not depths, could be around 3 inches. The mountain snowfall totals have also been scaled back from the recent models.

Snow levels will be around 300 to 500 feet, based on overnight lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.

The precipitation we receive overnight, while it won’t be much, may produce some snowfall here and there, depending on elevation.

When we get to Friday, the overnight lows will be above freezing, and the threat of any lowland snow will be gone.

As for the mountains this year for snow total percentages, we are at about 30% to 40% of our normal snow totals.

Our mountain snow totals don’t stop till April 1st. A normal year for our mountains is about 150%.

We have some catching up to do before Spring hits.
