Letter | Snoqualmie Valley Soccer Needs You! Ready for new season, volunteer positions open

Dear Members of the Snoqualmie Valley Community,

Do you love kids?  Do you love soccer?  We have both and we need YOU … grab your best friend!  The more the merrier.  Come join us.  It is not required to have a player in the program or have any prior experience.  Most of the current Board Members no longer have children in the program but are still here because they love kids, love soccer and our community!  The Board is eager to have you join us and we will help you every step of the way.

Planning is underway now for the 2017 season.  Registration opens April 1st.  Camps are running through the spring and summer.  We are trying to grow our offerings and player experience, so there’s a lot going on and we want to make this the best for our players.

Open positions along with Job Responsibilities are listed below.

All Board members – Must attend the monthly board meetings of SnVYSA … held the second Monday of each month from 7 to 9 pm, except December. Work with Webmaster to create and keep content for your area updated with current information, offerings, or upcoming changes.

VP Administration – Chair of the Disciplinary Committee, order equipment and maintain inventory.

Registrar – Oversee annual player registrations, run reports and submit player data to appropriate authorities, maintain Risk Management database.

Snoqualmie Club Representative – Oversee player registration for the city Club, form teams (secure coaches, assign players), assign fields, distribute/collect equipment, hold coaches’ meetings.

Referee Chair – Oversee and coordinate training of in-house referees, schedule Grade 8 referee licensing clinic, maintain database of current referees, oversee game assignments and keep referees updated of any changes, submit payroll to Treasurer at mid-season and end of season

Communications/Social Media/Marketing/Fundraising Chair – Advertise and promote upcoming events through social media, local papers and SnVYSA website.  Maintain social media sites.  Create quarterly newsletter that is distributed to the membership via email, website and social media.

Come play on our team!  We welcome questions.  Please email Info@snvysa.org and your inquiry will be directed to the appropriate person for further information/detail.  The openings above are currently being taken on by current Board members with other responsibilities.  Please join us to help ensure youth soccer stays strong and remains a positive force for good in our  Snoqualmie Valley Community.
