Letter: November 30th, Small Business Saturday!

shopsmallsatShop smart and support small businesses on November 30th.  Small Business Saturday started in 2010 and was later recognized by U.S. Senate in 2011. The once little known campaign has become a movement that individuals, businesses and communities have embraced nationwide.

Small businesses are the cornerstone of any community; providing jobs, stimulating local economic growth and giving back to the community.

The Better Business Bureau concluded when you shop at locally owned businesses, your money is circulated further, creating up to 75% more tax revenue to your community, county and state.  For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, $73 remains in the local economy and $27 leaves.  For every $100 spent at a non-locally owned business, $43 remains in the local economy and $57 leaves.

Show your support and make sure local businesses thrive.  Encourage your family and friends to spend November 30th with you shopping and/or eating at small, local businesses.

“HAPPY SHOPPING!”
