Dear Snoqualmie Valley Community,
The Board of Directors of the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank would like to take this opportunity to thank the Snoqualmie Valley community for their support and all they have done to make the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank a successful, thriving community resource. The generous support of the whole community, including volunteers, donors, business groups, clubs, churches, and government, has made the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank a sustainable reality.
Founded on the belief that the health of our community is dependent on the well-being of those who live in it, the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank was established with 3 guiding principles:
- To be a helpful inclusive resource to our neighbors.
- To be a safe place to receive food and other services.
- To treat all clients with respect and care.
In 2017 we served 14,319 household visits and 777,605 pounds of food was distributed, 62% of the food was recovered from grocery stores. Volunteers served over 10,600 hours of volunteer service which equals 5 full time employees.
Through our resource office we have provided access and referrals in housing, employment, food stamps, health care, transportation and more.
We are very fortunate to live in a very caring community which has supported the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank. Thank you to our community and a special thank you to our volunteers!
We are committed to continue our journey of service, and welcome all community members to be a part of “A Community in Action.”
