Lengthy Closure Expected on Eastbound SR-18 After Earlier Incident Beginning in Kent

According to the Washington State Patrol, a lengthy closure is expected on Eastbound SR 18 Thursday night while an incident is investigated.

A police pursuit in Kent ended in a crash near the Tiger Mountain summit. Helicopters, Kent Police, King County Sheriff and Washington State Patrol Officers searched for the suspects with possible assistance from K-9 track.

Eastside Fire & Rescue remains on the scene. One patient was transported to an area hospital. One patient rescue is in progress.

All suspects are now in custody. Westbound 18 is now open, but Eastbound remains closed as Kent police investigate.
