Late-night Westbound SR 18 closure Near Tiger Mountain this Thursday

For people who use westbound State Route 18 near Tiger Mountain, you will need to plan extra time this Thursday, Sept. 8, as a detour will be in place overnight.

Starting at 11 p.m., contractor crews working for WSDOT will close access to westbound SR 18 between Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast to just south of Interstate 90. They will reopen westbound lanes the following day at 4 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9.

Workers will finish the pavement repairs they started last month south of the Tiger Mountain trailhead parking lot.

Detour

From I-90, you can access westbound SR 18 by taking the Front Street exit and heading south. Front Street turns into Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast, and from there, you can get back to westbound SR 18.

This work is connected to the Northwest Region Emergency Pavement Repair project, which spans four counties and about 90 locations in the Northwest region. Construction for the entire project is expected to be completed by April 2023.
