Drivers using SE Issaquah-Hobart Road to avoid the upcoming SR 18 closure should be aware of a separate weekday lane restriction that may affect travel times.
From Monday, July 14 through Monday, July 21, crews will reduce traffic to a single alternating lane between SE 104th Street and SR 18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays to allow for shoulder maintenance and mowing. The work will occur in moving sections, with flaggers guiding two-way traffic through the work zone. All vehicles will have access.
This schedule overlaps with WSDOT’s planned eight-day full closure of SR 18 beneath I-90, which runs July 17 through July 25, making SE Issaquah-Hobart Road a likely alternate route for some drivers. The lane restriction may cause added delays for those trying to avoid the SR 18 work zone.
Work on Issaquah-Hobart may be rescheduled depending on weather, staffing, or equipment availability. For the latest updates, visit King County’s MyCommute website.
