Eastbound and westbound Interstate 90 will be reduced to a single open lane for two nights each beginning Monday, Oct. 14, to repair concrete bridge surfaces east of Issaquah.
Eastbound I-90 lane reductions
The right three lanes of eastbound I-90 will close Monday night, Oct. 14, near the bridge over Raging River (milepost 23), and the left three lanes will close Tuesday night, Oct. 15, in the same area. Lanes will close at 8 p.m. nightly, with all lanes reopening by 5 a.m. the next morning. This work requires dry weather and may need to be rescheduled.
During the reduction of the three right lanes Monday night, Oct. 14, the Southeast 82nd Street on-ramp to eastbound I-90 also will close. A signed detour will guide people using westbound I-90 and looping around to eastbound I-90 at Southeast High Point Way.
Westbound I-90 lane reductions
Similar repairs will be made on the westbound I-90 bridge over the East Fork of Issaquah Creek (milepost 16) beginning Wednesday night, Oct. 16. Those repairs will require the closure of the left two lanes Wednesday, Oct. 16, and the right two lanes Thursday night, Oct. 17. Lanes will begin closing near the bridge nightly at 8 p.m., with all lanes reopening by 5 a.m. the following morning. This work may be rescheduled due to weather.
During the nightly lane reductions, people traveling through the area should expect delays and add time to their travel plans.
