Kiss, Miss, or Hiss- The Best, Worst or Weirdest Marriage Advice Unveiled: The Winners!

The votes are in, and the “Kiss, Miss, or Hiss” contest winners have been decided! After a lively voting period, we are excited to announce the top three pieces of marriage advice in each category

From the best tips to the most eyebrow-raising suggestions, the entries certainly didn’t disappoint! A big thank you to everyone who participated and cast their votes. Without further ado, here are the contest winners—congratulations to all the finalists!

Best Marriage Advice Winners

  • First place goes to #2 Orsi Homorodi’s practical life advice to chuck tradition out the window and do what works for you! She and her husband Zoltan get tickets to a Farm Dinner of their choice in 2025 at Carnation Farms.
  • Second place goes to #4, Kathy Paulus. Her advice was about appreciating what you have and noticing all the little things your spouse does for you! Her prize is A one-night stay at the iconic Valley destination Treehouse Point.
  • Third place is #3, Tammy Vago. She says best marriage advice I can give is no matter the situation, still say I LOVE you. Tammy will receive a complimentary 30-minute photo session in the Snoqualmie Valley from Outshined Photography.

Worst Marriage Advice Winners

  • First place is a repeat winner # 1 Orsi Homorodi! She was told never to talk about politics, advice she chucked out the window. Her second first-place prize is dinner for two in the dining room, Attic or in-room Dining at the Salish Lodge & Spa.
  • Second place is #3 Tonya Eliason. The worst advice she ignored was always to obey her husband. Disobedient Tonya and hubby Brett win a pair of tickets to the fabulous Supper Club at South Fork North Bend.
  • Third place goes to #2 Jennifer Beaunaux, who got not just one piece of bad advice but three. All that negativity turned positive for Jennifer, who won four hours of organizational services from Cascara Concierge.

Weirdest Marriage Advice Winners

  • First place is #5, Kinsey Miller, with her highly entertaining tale of using a robot vacuum to control pesky in-laws! She and her husband, Chris, win a deluxe package created especially for the bride and groom from Pearl & Stone Winery.
  • Second place is another repeat winner, #3 Tonya Eliason, who got laundry advice from a still single friend. She gets the last laugh with a private winemaker’s tasting experience for 8-10 guests from Wm Grassie Wine Estates.
  • Third place goes to #4, Louina Wintermyer, who said (weirdly) to use your first name to begin every conversation. Her prize is a complimentary one-night stay in a King or Double Queen Studio Suite at the Snoqualmie Inn.

We think all the stories and writers deserve recognition. It’s hard to write, I feel you. So, if you’d like to read all 33 pieces of advice, follow this link to read them all.
