It's Little League Registration Time!

It’s freezing outside.  The roads are snow and ice-covered.  So obviously it must be Little League Registration time.  For those of us who have sat in cold, awful April weather watching our kids’ baseball games – this registration weather seems quite fitting.

Regardless of the weather, it’s time to get your kids registered for Little League.  The Snoqualmie Valley is covered by Falls Little League, Snoqualmie Valley Little League and Sno-Valley North Little League.  If you live on Snoqualmie Ridge check the boundaries.  Most Ridge neighborhoods feed into Falls LL, but some newer neighbhorhoods (closer to I-90) feed into Snoqualmie Valley LL.

For Falls LL, upper divisions registration (without late fees) closes this Sunday, 1/9/2011.   All registration for upper divisions closes 1/23.  These divisions are for players aged 9 – 12.  Lower divisions can register through 1/30 with no late penalties.  You can register online at www.fallsll.org – or click the sports link on this homepage. There is also on-site registration this Saturday, 1/8, from 10AM – 12PM at the Fall City Library and from 1PM – 3PM at the Snoqualmie Ridge Library.  Birth certificates are required if registering for your first season.

Registration for Snoqualmie Valley LL is also open and ends on 1/30/11.  This league serves all of North Bend and part of Snoqualmie.  You can register online at www.svll.net or hit the sports link on this homepage.  There are also two on-site registration sessions.  Session one is 1/15, from 10AM – 2PM at the North Bend Train Station, SMS and CVES.  Session two is 1/19, from 7 – 9PM at the North Bend Train station only.  Again, birth certificates are required for first year registrations.

Sno-Valley North LL stops registration for upper divisions on 1/18.  Lower divisions registration closes 3/1.  This league covers the Carnation area.  You can register online at www.svnll.org.   There is an on-site registration on 1/11,  from 6 – 7:30PM at the Stillwater Library.  Birth certificates and in-person registration required for first year players.

Each league requires a skills evaluation session for upper division players.  Check your league website for more info on these sessions.  Practices for little league upper divisions begin late February with games starting in early April.  Practices for lower divisions start mid April and games begin in late April.  Parents will be contacted by coaches once teams are selected and practice dates/ locations are assigned by each league.  Generally that occurs a week or two prior to practices – depending on the individual coach.

It will be spring before you know it so get ready to play ball!
