Investigation Leads to Termination of Snoqualmie Police Chief Brian Lynch

Following an extensive external investigation, the City of Snoqualmie ended the employment of Police Chief Brian Lynch on April 10, 2025.

The investigation concluded that there were sustained violations of the City’s personnel policies and the Snoqualmie Police Department’s Standards of Conduct.

Lynch was placed on administrative leave on February 6, 2025, to allow for a thorough review of the allegations.

“We are committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment for all,” said Mayor Katherine Ross. “Captain Gary Horejsi has been appointed Interim Chief while the City begins the formal process of selecting a permanent replacement. Our focus remains on serving the community with integrity and respect during this transition.”

As this is a human resource and sensitive personnel issue, the City of Snoqualmie cannot disclose more information at this time. Lynch was appointed Chief in November 2023.

Living Snoqualmie has submitted a public records request related to the investigation and will update this story if additional information becomes available.
