Introducing the Great Snoqualmie Valley Treasure Hunt, join the fun and nab some prizes

A new family friendly tradition is starting on Saturday, November 5th courtesy of Savor Snoqualmie Local, a Valley-wide Local First campaign working to create a healthy, connected local economy in the Snoqualmie Valley. It’s also part of the Savor Snoqualmie Valley initiative, a collaborative effort to celebrate and promote the local food and farms, arts and culture, outdoor recreation and independent businesses of the Snoqualmie Valley.

What is that new family friendly tradition you ask? Well, it’s exploring your own hometown.savorsnoqualmievalley_jennmckeown_10-12-12

The ‘Great Snoqualmie Valley Treasure Hunt’ is a scavenger hunt-style event where participants explore the main streets of Snoqualmie Valley communities in search of local items. A quick post to Facebook enters participants to win prizes from local merchants.

How it Works

Participants need to tune in to the new Savor Snoqualmie Valley Facebook page  at 9AM, Saturday, November 5th to get a list of 10 items to find. Then simply stroll on down to your main street and start the hunt.

Participation is easy:

  1. Find each item on the list (can be found in any community in the Valley)
  2. Take a photo of each item AND a photo of the place you found it
  3. Upload all 20 photos in a Facebook album and include #SavorSnoqualmieLocal

Prizes include gift certificates to restaurants, merchandise packages and more. Everyone that completes the hunt will be entered into a raffle and will get to pick a prize if drawn.

This event is a fun activity and is a great way to get to know your community and all the unique businesses and treasures that exist right outside your door.

So grab your family, friends, and your camera, and join in the ‘Great Snoqualmie Valley Treasure Hunt’.
