The City of Snoqualmie said via press release that on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 9:45AM, the Snoqualmie Police Department was notified of possible human remains located in a wooded area north of Snoqualmie Parkway and SR 202.
Crews hired by the city were surveying the potential location of a trail for the proposed Riverwalk project when they discovered the remains. When it was determined the remains were human, the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office were called and took over the investigation.
The City stated that the identity of the deceased, a male, is unknown, along with the circumstances surrounding his death. The Medical Examiner did determine the man had been deceased for 6 to 12 months.
