Hoops for Hope Takes over Cascade View Gym this Saturday, Supporting World Vision Strong Women, Strong World Initiative

Its inaugural event was so successful last year, that Eastside Women of Vision, a volunteer ministry of World Vision, is bringing Hoops for Hope back to the Snoqualmie Valley, with the hope of topping the $10,000 raised at the 2012 event.

From 10AM – 1PM, Saturday, March 23, 2013, basketballs will be flying in the Cascade View Elementary gym, as local kids launch free throws for charity; each made shot having a sponsor backing it.  Registration begins at 9:30AM.  Halfway through the event, the State Championship Mount Si Cheer Squad will perform and pizza, bake sale and raffle basket tickets will also be available throughout the event.

This year, funds raised will be supporting World Vision’s new initiative, Strong Women, Strong World, which supports sustainable change in some of the most difficult places in the world to be a girl or a woman.

Eastside Women of Vision member, Susan Murphy, says they will show a video about clean water in Africa at Saturday’s event, “showing kids how bad the resources for water can be and how World Vision has provided wells with clean water.”

If you’re interested in participating in Saturday’s Hoops for Hope you can register at HERE.  You can also register on Saturday morning at Cascade View Elementary.  Walk-ins are welcome, as are donations of any amount.

Good Luck Hoops for Hope!
