You’ve seen the Snoqualmie Fire Department speeding through town to provide emergency response, medical care, and hospital transportation. This December, the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association (SFFA) responded to another call – to provide warmth, food, and joy.
On December 7, 2024, during the Snoqualmie Winter Lights event, firefighters collected food and monetary donations for Feed Kiddos, an organization that provides kid-friendly nourishment for food-insecure children. Thanks to our community, Feed Kiddos will send children home with backpacks full of food for winter break.
The SFFA also partnered with Operation Warm and local Snoqualmie elementary schools to provide new, warm winter coats to children in need just in time for chilly winter weather. A heartfelt “Thank You” goes out to Liz Tusing and Sunshine Manning of the Redmond Fire Dept. for their invaluable guidance as they run a similar program in their community.
Finally, the SFFA hosted a Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club holiday Giving Tree, where numerous donated gifts were collected. You might even have spotted our fire engine or ambulance on its way to deliver holiday gifts to local children with an extra helping of magical cheer.
The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association extends its deepest thanks to the City of Snoqualmie, Feed Kiddos, Operation Warm, the Snoqualmie Valley School District, the Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club, and our residents. As first responders, it is our duty to protect our community and our privilege to lift our neighbors up whenever we can. We are grateful to stand by your side.
The Snoqualmie Firefighters Association wishes all our neighbors a happy and safe holiday season.
