Hiker Transported from Rattlesnake Ledge by Helicopter

The King County Sheriff’s Office said this afternoon that a search and rescue mission was conducted in the Rattlesnake Ridge area near North Bend for rattlesnaketraila hiker with a medical condition.

Sergeant DB Gates said the hiker was about one mile up the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail when the medical condition set in.  Search and Rescue crews were called and a helicopter was sent to the area.

Gates said the hiker suffered a probable heart attack and was transported to an area hospital. At this time the hiker’s condition is unknown and no further details are available.
