A stretch of State Route 18 between Snoqualmie and Hobart will be closed in both directions the weekend of July 9-11 for maintenance repairs. Drivers should expect delays and detours.
Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will fully close SR 18 between Issaquah-Hobart Road and I-90 beginning Friday, July 9, at 9 p.m. until Sunday, July 11, at 2 p.m.
The around-the-clock closure will give crews space to safely replace and upgrade close to 1,800-feet of guardrail, repair over 3,000-feet of pavement, seal roadway cracks, improve drainage, grade widenings and remove hazardous trees.
Travelers who use SR 18 should plan for delays on alternate routes such as I-90, I-405, SR 167, SR 900 and local roads. Before heading out the door, check traffic and the latest blocking incidents on the WSDOT app and the WSDOT Traffic Twitter feed. Advanced closure information is also on the weekly travel planner page.
