The shorelines along the Middle and South Fork Snoqualmie River are valuable to the North Bend community.
On Wednesday, February 26, residents are invited to join city staff and the City’s consultant, Facet, for a public workshop to discuss the development of the North Bend Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan.
The plan aims to create a cohesive network of access points and trails that will enhance recreational opportunities for residents and visitors while protecting the shoreline from degradation caused by recreational use. The workshop will occur at North Bend City Hall from 6 to 7 p.m.

This project is supported by a Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan Project grant from the Department of Ecology. The grant funds planning efforts that promote climate resilience, improve the implementation of the Shoreline Master Program (SMP) and align with local shoreline planning priorities. More details about the project are available on the City’s SMP webpage.
Following the shoreline workshop, attendees are welcome to stay for a separate public workshop focused on plans for a new public plaza at the terminus of Ballarat Avenue between the North Bend Bar and Grill and the North Bend Shell Station. That session will run from 7 to 8 p.m.
