Help Restore the Snoqualmie River Habitat on Arbor Day, November 1st in North Bend

The City of North Bend invites you to celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, November 1, 2024, as Mayor Miller officially proclaims the day in recognition of the importance of trees.

The City is hosting a community planting event along the South Fork Snoqualmie River and Ribary Creek in partnership with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust (MTSG).

Join the city from 2 to 4 p.m. to help restore critical riparian habitat by planting native species along key river and creek areas.

Volunteers should park at the public Park and Ride at 301 W North Bend Way, where MTSG staff will guide participants to the planting site.

This event is free and open to all ages. However, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

For safety, all participants are required to wear:

• Long pants (no shorts)
• Sturdy, close-toed shoes (no sandals)
• Gloves (provided on-site)

Additionally, volunteers are encouraged to bring:

• Warm layers
• Rain gear
• A sack lunch
• A water bottle

Please register for the event through the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust at the following link: North Bend Arbor Day 2024—Mountains To Sound Greenway Trust.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to habitat restoration, your efforts will make a meaningful impact. Together, let’s make a difference for our community and environment!
