Guest Blog: Snoqualmie Valley Relay For Life Gearing Up For Annual Cancer Fundraiser – Team Captain Meeting April 10th

This guest blog is courtesy of Bev Jorgensen, who is a Co-Chair of the 2012 Snoqualmie Valley Relay For Life Event happening this July.  If cancer hasn’t touched your life, chances are it has impacted the life of someone you know….

The time is fast approaching for the 11th Annual Relay For Life Event in Snoqualmie Valley.  This is a great opportunity to become involved in the community.  Many in the Snoqualmie Valley have lost their battle with cancer as well as being home to many survivors.  Relay For Life is a fantastic way to come together to raise funds to beat cancer.  It is also a chance to bond together as a whole community for support and healing.

The event happens this summer on July 7th and 8th – beginning at 2PM Saturday and ending Sunday morning at Centennial Field in Snoqualmie.  Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life is actively searching for individuals and teams to jump on board and make this year the best yet.

The next Team Captain meeting is Tuesday April 10th from 6:30-7:30 at Sawdust Coffee Company in North Bend. There will be sign up info available and welcoming of new team captain/reps. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can also contact committee members listed below to get on board.

Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life is also sponsoring a special Survivors and Caregivers Dinner. The Mount Si Golf Course will host the event on April 17th at 6PM.  The spaghetti dinner is generously provided free of charge by the Mount Si Golf Course Restaurant for all cancer survivors and caregivers.  Please RSVP by April 13th to Anne Loring:  a.loring@comcast.net, or Mary Ann Rohrbach: (425)888-0576, or rohrbach@nwlink.com.  Mount Si Golf Course is located at 9010 Boalch Ave SE, Snoqualmie.
