From Summer Excursions to Spooky Season: Northwest Railway Museum Rolls into Fall

As summer winds down, there’s still one more weekend to savor excursions at the Northwest Railway Museum. Throughout September, the Museum continues offering scenic rides through the Snoqualmie Valley, with trains departing Saturdays and Sundays from both the Snoqualmie Depot (11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.) and the North Bend Depot (10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.).

But the shift to fall brings a new lineup of seasonal favorites, from spooky rides to cozy November outings.

Halloween Wine Train

On October 31, the Halloween Wine Train returns for a special 21-and-older evening. Guests can enjoy tastings from Snoqualmie Valley wineries paired with small bites, all while riding through the scenic upper valley. Costumes are encouraged, with a contest and prizes adding to the fun.

Families can get in on the festive spirit during the Museum’s annual Halloween Train. Running October 11–12, 18–19, and 25–26, this fall-decorated ride invites passengers to wear costumes and collect a small prize while traveling through the autumn landscape of the Snoqualmie Valley.

Fall Excursions

After the Halloween festivities, the Museum transitions to Fall Excursions on November 8, 15, and 22. Departures run on the same schedule as the summer trains, offering a quieter seasonal ride as the valley shifts into late fall.
