On Monday, September 30, 2024, Snoqualmie Mayor Katherine Ross recognized former Mayor and Councilmember Fuzzy Fletcher for his remarkable three decades of public service to the City of Snoqualmie.
Fletcher’s involvement began in the early 1990s as a public safety volunteer, followed by his service on the City Council from 1995 to 1997. He went on to serve as mayor from 1998 to 2005, completing two terms. Even after serving as mayor, Fletcher continued to contribute to the city, serving on the Civil Service Commission from 2012 until 2024.
In appreciation of his long-standing commitment to the community, Mayor Ross presented Fletcher with a plaque and a ceremonial key to the city during Monday’s presentation.
“The Snoqualmie that we know today was shaped by the dedicated service of former Mayor and Councilmember Fuzzy Fletcher,” Mayor Ross remarked. “Under his guidance, our small city transformed and grew in a responsible way, becoming a place so many of us are proud to call home. I am grateful for Fuzzy’s service throughout the years.”
Fletcher’s years of service contributed to the city’s development and governance. His involvement in local government and volunteer roles reflected his long-standing dedication to Snoqualmie, and his work is recognized by the city and its residents.
