First Nutrition Practice Opens in Valley, Bringing Work Home for Local Mom of Five

With no dietician in the Snoqualmie Valley, Erin Yaseen took a leap of faith and opened her own practice in historic Snoqualmie – Simplicity Nutrition.

Erin, who is a Registered Dietician, Functional Nutritionist and holds a Master of Science in Nutrition, decided to bring her Erin Yaseenpractice home – to the place where she and her husband are raising their blended family of seven – and opened on November 6th in the River Building across from Snoqualmie City Hall on River Street.

Erin received her Bachelors in Science of Dietetics at Southern Illinois University and then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Nutrition at Bastyr University in 2005. She fell in love with the small town charm and community-oriented nature of the Snoqualmie Valley and hasn’t left since.

She says after practicing for about 10 years, she’s very excited to serve her community and connect with other practitioners, as well as bridge the gap in the Snoqualmie Valley between alternative and conventional medicine.

Erin describes her practice as a “Functional, Individualized & Comprehensive Approach to Nutrition.”  She’s a foodie and a real-food advocate – a self-described “walker of the walk.”  She works to break down food-fads and confusing health information to create real-food plans to enhance the quality of her patients’ lives.

She also tracks patient results – using sophisticated Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis to record progress by measuring fat, muscle, water absorption/retention, nutrient absorption and cellular health. Erin says her approach works at getting to the root rather than chasing symptoms to land on a functional, individualized and comprehensive plan for her patients.

And there’s a REAL reason Erin chose the field of nutrition. Diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Lupus at a very young age, she was determined to alleviate her debilitating symptoms – and not let the health condition take over her life. She says she found functional medicine and through the approach she now uses in her practice, she is free of autoimmune markers and is a living example of how food can radically change your life… that body can heal when given the right environment… and most of all spark hope.

Good Luck Erin…. and below you’ll find a few of her specialties included at the new practice in downtown Snoqualmie. She is also hosting a free wellness talk on digestion November 21st from 3-4pm and an Open House on December 5th from 3-6PM.
