The Snoqualmie Valley is expecting an atmospheric river to hit starting on Friday. Total rainfall from Friday to Sunday night could be around 2 inches. Friday’s rain will be steadier, while Saturday and Sunday will be more showery.
As for the wind this weekend, this is not a major windstorm. Friday’s wind gusts could be around 20mph, so nothing really major there.

Saturday will be the day of most of the winds. Starting in the morning, we’ll see the typical east winds pick up. 30mph to 35mph gusts are possible till the afternoon.
Later Saturday afternoon, the winds will shift to a more southerly flow. Normally, when there are southerly winds, they tend not to affect the Snoqualmie Valley all that much. With that said, 1 model is predicting 40mph to 45mph gusts. Don’t hold your breath on that model at this point, but things could still change.

Being our first wind event of the season, it’s a good time to remove anything from outside that could fly away into your neighbor’s yard and prepare for possible power outages.
