Feeding the locals: New Italian restaurant opens, New Vietnamese restaurant on the way

It was the buzz around town all October – a new Italian restaurant was coming to North Bend. And not just any Italian joint. This one had the locals buzzing because the owner and chef, Gianfranco Bafaro, was a favorite of many residents and the former owner of Gianfranco’s in downtown Snoqualmie.

The new place is called Il Paesano and is right next to the North Bend Theatre – and so far things seem to be going great. According to their Facebook page, they were so busy their first week that they were unable to open for lunch last Saturday, November 12th.

Il Paesano Ristorante Italiano is open for lunch Monday – Friday from 11AM – 2PM and dinner from 5PM – 9:30PM. Saturday and Sunday hours are 11AM – 2PM for lunch and 5PM – 10PM for dinner.

You can check on the full menu on their Facebook page.

New Vietnamese Restaurant Coming Soon!

A few blocks away from Il Paesano –  up Bendigo Blvd and in the Mountain Valley Shopping Plaza near Safeway, a new Vietnamese restaurant is currently under construction. The sign is up – UNPHOGETTABLE – while interior construction continues.

No word yet on an opening date, but according to social media, many in North Bend are excited to be able to get Pho a little closer to home – not to mention appreciative of the catchy name.

Good Luck to both businesses!
