FINAL UPDATE: Fatal Collision Closes Westbound I-90 Near Fall City

FINAL UPDATE: Westbound I-90 is back open just east of Jones Road (MP 26) after a collision. All lanes are open.

UPDATE: Traffic on I-90 is being diverted onto State Route 18. Please continue to seek alternate routes. There is now a backup of over 7 miles on Westbound I-90.

As of 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, westbound I-90 remains fully closed just east of Jones Road near Fall City due to a fatal one-car/pedestrian collision. According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. at milepost 23.

By 12:50 p.m., WSP confirmed the collision was a fatality and announced that westbound lanes would remain closed at SR 18 for an extended period. Traffic is currently backed up from the closure point to the Snoqualmie Casino on-ramp.

Emergency crews are on the scene. There is no estimated reopening time. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and check WSDOT’s Travel Center Map or mobile app for real-time updates.
