The Washington State Patrol said around 8:30AM, April 8, 2017, a 73-year old man died when his vehicle traveling on eastbound I-90 near milepost 33 in North Bend drove off the left shoulder and ended up below the freeway on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail.
WSP said the preliminary investigation pointed to speed, distraction and a possible medical condition causing the one-vehicle accident.
Th King County Medical Examiner was called to the scene as the driver suffered fatal injuries.
As of 11AM, WSP was working to finish the investigation and reopen the connection to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail.
