Fall City Days, the Fun Happens this Saturday!

It’s a community summertime tradition.  That Saturday before Father’s Day – Fall City Days – celebrating the small town and residents of Fall City, WA.  This year it happens on June 15, 2013.

The fund begins at 6:30AM with the closure of SR 202 from 324th to Preston-Fall City Road.  Then bring on the Pancake Breakfast at the Masonic Hall at 7AM and then the Fall City Days Fun Run (10K, 5K and Kids 1K) starts at 9AM.  It’s a great and FLAT course.

A kids parade, main parade, watermelon eating contest and a duck derby on the Snoqualmie River are all annual traditions.  This year’s parade grand marshalls (starts at 11:15AM) are long-time Fall City residents, Tom and Pasty Calvin.

Fall City Days also features lots of arts and crafts and food booths, pony rides, live music, street performers, a chalk artist, a community art project – and even a dunk tank.

The fun starts early and runs through 5PM.  Just remember, driving through Fall City on SR 202 won’t be possible until 6PM, when Fall City Days wraps up for another year and clean up is complete.
