I bet you didn’t think Mother Nature had anything left to throw at the valley. Wrong.
The rain may have lightened up today, but according to the King County Department of Transportation, “Persistent rain and minor flooding along the Snoqualmie River has prompted road closures in lowland areas.” They further add, “If you plan to travel in flood-prone areas of the Snoqualmie Valley, be on the lookout for water over roadways. And remember, never drive around road closure signs – the water may be deeper than you think. Driving through standing water is the leading cause of flood-related death.”
Here are the local Snoqualmie Valley Roads affected. They are in the Fall City / Carnation area.
West Snoqualmie River Rd between NE Tolt Hill Rd and SR 202. Closed at 8:30AM for water over roadway.
308th Ave SE/309th Ave SE between SR 202 and West Snoqualmie River Rd. Closed at 8:30AM for water over roadway.
Neal Road SE between SR203 and SR203 – the loop. Closed at 8:15AM for water over the roadway.
