Lane reductions from the Interstate 90/State Route 18 interchange to Deep Creek, just east of Tiger Mountain summit, will begin at 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, and all lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, for road repair and drainage work.
Law enforcement will direct traffic at the interchange while workers fill and pave over new drainage crossings currently covered by steel plates. This work is important to finish before winter weather begins so our snowplows can safely clear the roadway.
On eastbound SR 18, just west of the interchange, crews will repair a mile-long stretch of highway by grinding down the surface and paving between Deep Creek and Lake Creek. Flaggers will alternate traffic through a single lane during the work.
While construction crews are widening SR 18 and building the diverging diamond interchange, they will continue to fix potholes and damaged pavement within the project area as needed. People can contact the project team with questions or concerns via email or the hotline at 206-216-4545.
