Encompass Announces 2025 Inspire Breakfast: Celebrating Children, Families and Community

Encompass is excited to announce the 2025 Inspire Breakfast, a morning dedicated to celebrating the community’s commitment to the well-being of children and families.

This inspiring annual event will take place at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.

The Inspire Breakfast brings together civic and philanthropic leaders, donors, partners, educators, and Encompass advocates to engage in the organization’s vision of a community where ALL children thrive.

Encompass is honored to welcome Dan Schlotfeldt as the keynote speaker. For the past 30 years, Dan has been dedicated to serving the Snoqualmie Valley School District students, families, and staff. He began his career in education in 1994 as an elementary school teacher at Fall City Elementary and became the school’s principal in 2004. After spending ten years as the building principal, Dan moved to district-level roles where he supported schools, teachers, students, and families.

His positions included director of elementary education, executive director of teaching and learning, and assistant superintendent. In 2023, he was appointed superintendent. He will share insights from his extensive experience in early education and his passion for community.

The Inspire Community Awards, celebrating individuals and organizations making a significant difference, will be presented by Honorary Chair, Nancy Whitaker, former executive director of Encompass.

Beloved for her long history of serving others in our community, Nancy has played a pivotal role in shaping Encompass into what it is today. Her tireless leadership, advocacy, and determination have positively impacted countless children and families. After raising her family in the Snoqualmie Valley, Nancy continues to be a leader in our community, always prioritizing the needs of others.

Guests will hear a heartfelt story from a local family whose life has been positively impacted by Encompass. Chris Cashman, Emmy Award-winning TV and radio host will function as the emcee of the event.

“The Inspire Breakfast is a powerful opportunity to connect with our community and celebrate the collective efforts that ensure every child has the chance to reach their full potential,” said Nela Cumming, Encompass executive director. “We invite everyone to join us for a morning of inspiration and support.”

Tickets are complimentary, but guests are asked to consider a donation of $150 or more at the event. Registration closes on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Please visit https://encompassnw.ejoinme.org/inspire to reserve your seat.
