Early Morning House, Commercial Fires Keep Firefighters Busy

While most Snoqualmie Valley residents were fast asleep, Tuesday, November 11, 2014, two early morning fires in the North Bend area kept Eastside Fire & Rescue crews busy.

Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) stated via social media that crews responded to a house fire and a commercial fire that broke out an hour apart early Tuesday morning.

According to Eastside Fire & Rescue, the first fire happened around 3:45AM in a garage of a home in the 15100 block of 445th Ave SE. This is in the Riverbend area of North Bend.

Crews then responded from the house fire to the second, separate commercial fire happened around 4:45AM in the 600 block of E North Bend Way, which is the area near Les Schwab Tires.

EF&R reported that both fires were contained and extinguished with an aggressive interior attack, with no injuries reported at either scene. By 5:15AM, EF&R stated both fires were under control.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fires.
