Duvall City Council Schedules Public Hearing for Riverview School District Capital Facilities Plan

The Duvall City Council has announced a public hearing on the 2024-2030 Riverview School District Capital Facilities Plan, scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 7:00 PM. The hearing will be held at the Duvall Visitor Center at 15619 Main St NE, Duvall, WA 98019.

At this hearing, the City Council will review and accept testimony regarding the proposed facilities plan, an annual component of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Following the hearing, the Council may make a final decision on whether to adopt the school district’s 2024-2030 Capital Facilities Plan by reference.

Interested individuals and organizations are invited to attend and provide verbal testimony on the proposal. For those unable to attend, written comments intended for the Council must reach the City Clerk’s office by noon on the hearing day. Comments can be submitted by mail to PO Box 1300, Duvall, WA 98019, through the City Hall drop box at 15535 Main St NE, or via email at cityclerk@duvallwa.gov. Instructions for attending the hearing via Zoom are available on the City Council Agenda, which can be accessed on the City’s website at https://www.duvallwa.gov/AgendaCenter.

During the hearing, individuals can speak for up to three minutes, and representatives of organizations may address the Council for five minutes. Each speaker is required to disclose their name and residential affiliation with the City. The City encourages speakers to submit their comments in writing to ensure accurate records for future reference.

As proposed by Meisha Robertson, Director of Business and Operations for the Riverview School District, the 2025 impact fee would be $8,622 for a single-family residential unit and $615 for a multi-family residential unit. The City of Duvall collects this fee when issuing residential building permits, with monthly payments to the District.
