The City of Snoqualmie will temporarily close a section of King Street between Railroad Ave SE/SR 202 and Maple Ave SE starting August 18, 2024.
This closure follows the conclusion of Snoqualmie Days and is part of a seasonal initiative to enhance pedestrian safety and create more open space in the historic downtown area.
The closure aims to reduce conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles, especially near the popular Northwest Railway Museum Depot and adjacent retail establishments.
The closed section will also provide a designated area for future food truck operations.
Temporary bollards and fencing were installed at the intersection of King Street and Railroad Ave on August 16, 2024, to prepare for this closure, which will also accommodate Snoqualmie Days events on August 16-17.
Delivery access to King Street within the closure area will still be available via Maple Ave SE.
This seasonal closure will remain in effect through early fall.
