Donate to Save Lives at North Bend City Hall’s Mobile Blood Drive on October 17

According to Bloodworks Northwest, someone in the United States needs blood about every two seconds. A single blood donation can save up to three lives, and on October 17, residents will have a hyperlocal opportunity to participate in a lifesaving volunteer event.

 Bloodworks Northwest will host a mobile blood drive at North Bend City Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 17. The donation process takes about one hour. To book your appointment, visit bloodworksnw.org/giveblood.

 For the best possible donation experience, Bloodworks Northwest shares some pro tips:

  • Book your appointment ahead of time
  • Bring your photo ID with you to your appointment
  • Eat a healthy breakfast, lunch or salty snack before your appointment
  • Drink plenty of fluids before your appointment
  • Get a good night’s sleep before your appointment
