Daytime SR 203 Single-Lane Closure Near Carnation for Fence Installation

State Route 203 will be reduced to one lane near Northeast Carnation Farm Road for four consecutive weekdays starting Thursday, Sept. 26, to install fencing around a fish-passable culvert.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close one SR 203 lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 26-27, and again Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone each day.

Crews will use the closure to install permanent fencing around the culvert, which opened nearly a mile of potential upstream habitat near Horseshoe Lake north of downtown Carnation.
