The City of North Bend is inviting residents to meet the finalists for its next Chief of Police as the city prepares to begin contracting police services with the King County Sheriff’s Office in the spring of 2026.
The public open house will take place on Monday, November 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Bend City Hall, located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way.
Community members will have the chance to hear from the candidates, ask questions, and share impressions as part of the city’s hiring process. The following day, November 18, finalists will take part in interviews with three city-organized panels consisting of city council members, staff, and community representatives.
Feedback from the panels will be provided to Mayor Miller and City Administrator Amber Emery, who will then work with panel facilitators before identifying a preferred candidate.
The city expects to announce the appointment of a new Police Chief in early December.
