On Wednesday, August 23rd, at approximately 540 a.m., a motor vehicle crash blocked SR18 for the second day this week.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a 2004 Toyota Camry driven by a 30-year-old male from the Spokane Valley was traveling eastbound on SR18 at the Raging River when it crossed the center line into westbound traffic.
The Toyota struck a Semi driven by a 62-year-old man from Long Beach head-on. The Toyota’s driver was taken to Overlake with serious injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. Drugs and alcohol were not involved.
The roadway was entirely blocked for approximately two hours and eight minutes.

They succeeded on making more dangerous. I went thru there twice right after the project started and I won’t be going back til it’s done.
