City Overlay Project Starts Today, July 20: New Pavement Coming to Several Downtown Snoqualmie Roads

The City’s 2023 Street Overlay Project that will resurface several downtown Snoqualmie roads is scheduled to launch on July 20. Portions of Mill Pond, Tokul, Stone Quarry Roads, and Mountain Ave will be repaved during the second half of July.

Grinding and paving work is currently scheduled for July 20-28. Pavement lane marking installation is scheduled to follow final paving. This work is weather dependent and subject to change.

While construction occurs on Tokul Road, Stone Quarry Road, and Mountain Ave, contractor crews working for the City of Snoqualmie will maintain one open roadway lane with flaggers on site to control traffic flow. Drivers should plan for potential delays in these areas.

The work on Mill Pond Road will require a full closure for the safety of construction crews. A detour will be in place.

Residents living along impacted roadways will be provided access to their properties but should expect some delays related to construction activities. The City appreciates residents’ patience and understanding while this important project occurs.

  • Mill Pond road is not as bad as many others and is only being done to help promote development.

  • Seriously. Mill pond road is the worst road in Snoqualmie. By Far. Made worse by school traffic. If it was on the ridge Everyone would be complaining not just me
