City of Snoqualmie Seeking Citizens to Serve on Pro and Con Committees for November Ballot Measure

Are you in strong support of Snoqualmie’s November levy to help maintain public safety and preserve street, park and trail maintenance?  Are you firmly against the potential tax increase?  If so, the City of Snoqualmie is seeking your help to write the voters pamphlet pros and cons statements for its upcoming tax levy.

The City of Snoqualmie has placed a measure on the November election ballot for an operations levy to help maintain the current levels of police, fire, and emergency medical services. The measure would also help preserve basic maintenance of streets, parks and trails within the city.

The city is soliciting citizens to serve on committees advocating the approval and rejection of the ballot measure. Committees are responsible for writing pro and con statements and rebuttals to be included in the King County Voters Pamphlet. More information about the ballot measure is posted on the city website.

The deadline for applying to be on the pro or con committee is Wednesday, August 1 at noon or sooner.

Those interested should contact Jodi Warren via email at jwarren@ci.snoqualmie.wa.us or 425-888-1555 ext. 1118. Please provide your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
