If you’re interested to getting to know the 11 Snoqualmie residents who applied to fill an open city council seat, Monday, September 25th is your chance.
The Snoqualmie City Council will hold a special meeting, beginning at 5PM to interview the applicants.
Council Position 4 became vacant on August 31st when council member Brad Toft unexpectedly resigned.
Following the special meeting the council will meet in executive session. Following that session there could be a possible appointment of the new council member.
The interview schedule is below. Per city announcement, “the Council will do their best to adhere to this schedule, however the schedule may change slightly during the meeting.”
It is an open public meeting, but the city said there will be no opportunity for citizen comments or participation.

Sounds more like Speed Dating than an interview process.
I agree. What of any substance can be asked or answered in 10 minutes? If they make a decision based on these 10 minute interviews, they must have already done some investigation/research/discussion. Which should be available to the public, right?
Candidates also had to fill out a application/questionnaire and provide a resume before the public interviews.
