Cascade Enrichment Unveils New Learning Center and STEM-Focused Before and After-School Program with Pi Day Ribbon-Cutting

After over eight years of dedicated service to the Snoqualmie Valley community, Cascade Enrichment is excited to announce the grand opening of its learning center.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Pi Day, March 14, 2025, at 1:59 PM to commemorate this milestone. This event not only marks the expansion of Cascade Enrichment’s facilities but also introduces an innovative before and after-school program designed for elementary students, along with small group enrichment classes and summer camps.

Reflecting on the timing of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Owner Pamela Savagaonkar explained, “For over eight years, Cascade Enrichment has operated in a hybrid model, using partnerships with local community centers for classes and camps while offering tutoring sessions in homes or remotely. Now, with the opening of our very own learning center, we felt it was the perfect time to celebrate this milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.”

Embracing Pi Day

Choosing Pi Day for the ribbon-cutting ceremony underscores Cascade Enrichment’s commitment to making mathematics and science engaging and accessible. Pi Day, celebrated annually on March 14 (3/14), aligns perfectly with the mathematical constant π (approximately 3.14159).

Discussing the significance of choosing Pi Day for the event, Savagaonkar shared, “Our Pi Day Ribbon Cutting will be both a celebration and a chance for families to experience what makes Cascade Enrichment unique.”

The event will feature a Pi Recitation Contest, challenging participants to recall as many digits of Pi as possible. This will foster a fun and competitive atmosphere that highlights the beauty of mathematics. Attendees can also enjoy Pi-themed treats and explore the new facility, gaining insight into the enriching environment Cascade Enrichment offers.

Introducing the Before and After-School Program

Cascade Enrichment is launching a before and after-school program for the 2025-2026 academic year in line with its mission to provide comprehensive educational support.

On the inspiration behind launching the new before and after-school program, Pamela stated, “Launching this program has been a long-term goal. Now that we have all the essential components in place, it’s the perfect time to bring it to life.”

This program caters to elementary students (K-5) and is structured to offer a blend of academic assistance and enrichment activities, ensuring a holistic development experience.

  • After School Program: Monday to Friday, from school pick-up until 6:00 PM.

A Commitment to Personalized Education

With small groups sizes, Cascade Enrichment ensures personalized attention. This allows educators to tailor activities to each child’s interests and learning style.

Highlighting the importance of small group sizes, Pamela emphasized, With small groups of just 13 students, your child will receive personalized attention in a safe, enriching environment where they can thrive.”

This approach fosters a nurturing environment where students can build confidence and develop a lifelong passion for learning.

Looking Ahead

As Cascade Enrichment embarks on this new chapter, the organization remains dedicated to enriching children’s educational experiences in the Snoqualmie Valley.

The upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony will celebrate the opening of the new learning center and reinforce the center’s mission to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for STEM among young learners.

Looking ahead, Pamela stated, We’re excited to mark this new chapter with a ceremony and continue growing alongside the families we serve!”
