The Carnation City Council is now accepting applications for an upcoming vacancy in Council Position 3. The current council will vote to appoint a new member in July 2025, with the appointee serving through December 2027.
Under Washington State law, the remaining council members are required to fill the position within 90 days of the vacancy. The City is encouraging qualified residents to apply.
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, live within Carnation city limits, and be registered voters in the City of Carnation.
For those interested in learning more about the role or Carnation’s form of government, City Manager Rhonda Ender will host two informal Q&A sessions:
- Wednesday, June 4, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, June 6, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
