The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe announced this week new details about its latest enterprise: a new convenience store and 12-pump gas station scheduled to open in late 2016. The Tribe celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, May 12th.
The store, designed by Helix Design Group of Tacoma, will be built near the site of the existing Snoqualmie Tobacco Company and Liquor Store, which will remain open during construction.
“This is an exciting new enterprise for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe that will build on our values of responsible development while offering new options for travelers and visitors,” said Snoqualmie Tribal Chairwoman Carolyn Lubenau. “Through this project, we look forward to serving the community of Snoqualmie and the members of our Tribe while contributing to the economy of the Snoqualmie Valley.”
The new convenience store and gas station, which is yet to be named, will feature a deli, market, beer cave and drive-up window for tobacco. It will ultimately replace the current small, Snoqualmie Tobacco Company and Liquor Store building.
