Business Comings | New Restaurant for Snoqualmie Valley

It was last summer that Bayan Mongolian at the corner of Snoqualmie Parkway and Douglas Ave regrettably announced they were closing. Now eight months later, new tenants are putting the finishing touches on a new Valley restaurant: Thai Eatery.

Owners Sarunya Kendrick, Uritha Nualsanit and Nusra Phatinavin said they’ve been re-working the restaurant’s interior for the past four months – in addition to working their regular jobs.  The trio lives locally, saying it’s necessary to live close to their investment.

Interior Tweaks

Gone is the large, circular flat top grill and the long ingredient bar that occupied lots of square footage of the former Mongolian BBQ restaurant.

New seating occupies a wall once home to a long ingredient bar used at the former Mongolian Grill.

Stylish wood tables now replace the ingredient bar and the front counter is flanked by cabinets that show off spices. A cozy outdoor eating spot was added near the restaurant’s main entrance, too.

Opening First Week of April

Over the past month Sarunya, Uritha and Nusra quit their days jobs to focus solely on the restaurant as they push toward opening day – planned for either April 1st or April 2nd.

Thai Eatery plans to offer the community “healthy, family friendly food,” according to the owners – along with lots of coconut inspired beverages.  The full-service restaurant also plans to offer beer and wine, but not not right when they open.

So for all of you out there who were sad to see Bayan Mongolian leave, its seems a new ownership team is ready to bring the Snoqualmie Valley another healthy food option – one the ownership trio hopes the community will embrace.

Welcome to the Valley Thai Eatery – and Good Luck!

  • Tried it today. Food is excellent. We had the green curry chicken 5 stars and chicken panang curry 2 star. Curries were actually spicy with well balanced flavor and ingredients. Very accommodating staff. I hope they make it as this is an odd location. Delicious!

  • Best Thai food ever. We have tried so many Thai restaurants in Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, Issaquah, none can compared to the food here. The food is so tasty, great flavor with perfect cooks and great decorations. This is a 5 star restaurant. We definitely will return to this place.
