The City of Carnation is looking for artists from the Snoqualmie Valley to help transform utility boxes in the Central Business District with vibrant, locally inspired artwork.
The wraps, designed to be both graffiti- and weather-resistant, will enhance the Tolt Triangle pocket park while celebrating the community’s artistic spirit.
Artists are invited to submit designs that reflect the arts, music, and heritage of Carnation. Selected designs will be credited to the artists and showcased during a June ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Tolt Triangle.
The Community Economic Development Committee will evaluate submissions based on two key criteria: how well the artwork translates into a utility box wrap and how effectively it represents the community.

Interested artists must submit their designs electronically by April 15, 2025, to rhonda.endere@carnationwa.gov. Full design specifications can be found here.
While submitting artwork does not guarantee selection for this project, the City of Carnation and Traffic Wrapz may consider designs for future installations.
The project’s first phase will focus on utility boxes at the Tolt Triangle, located at the corner of Tolt Avenue and Bird Street, with the potential for expansion based on community response and available funding.
For local artists, this is an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on Carnation’s streetscape that blends creativity with community pride.
